Artist Statement

While my roots lie in traditional sculpture and painting practise, my more recent works attempt to explore and challenge some of the formalised boundaries instilled by these origins. My current work attempts to unpack the concepts surrounding authorship, ownership and identity; as well as fiction and non-fiction. These concepts are explored through paint, poetry and found objects. My art objects are a physical representation of my internal pursuits. They contain contradictions and wonderings in the hopes to provoke thought and reflection.
